It shocking! It's amazing! It's....it's.... A Goat Cam!!!

So obviously, lack of money means lack of gas which means lack of Disneyland, sooooo....I entertain myself with creating something yummy for lunch. I love throwing together a bunch of leftovers and/or vegetables with pasta. The first thing I did was saute mushrooms, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, an entire jalapeno and some mushrooms. Toss in some dehydrated onions, dried basil, assorted spices and then.... I cut up a small piece of leftover rib eye steak and tossed that in. Now it's time for the cold leftover pasta.... After the pasta is heated through and coated in some olive oil, I dumped the whole thing into a bowl and devoured it. I wonder if I could earn money cooking for other people???? But they couldn't be picky people. Oh no, they have to be adventurous and willing to eat whatever I cook. And they have to like SPICE!

What do Knott's Berry Farm and Sam the Eagle have in common? Nothing! But I've got two "vintage" shots to share with you today. The first one was clearly taken at Knott's Berry Farm. The back of the photo is stamped December 1979 however, our wardrobe isn't very Decemberish. Yes, that's me and my son and I am hogging that delicious pickle that is making me salivate just looking at it! Flash forward a few years and Olympic Fever has hit Los Angeles. Yes, the games were being held in L.A. and for some work related reason, I had to go to the L.A. Convention Center. While I was there, I spotted a free photo opp with Sam the Eagle. Free! So what if I was 10 minutes late getting back to work, right? Let me tell you, I'm so glad I did this. It's been a neat souvenir to have all these years. And there you have it - two totally unrelated things but nice vintage shots.

A long, long time ago, back around 1996, I got to meet a Disney Legend. I mean, I really, honest to goodness got to meet and spend time with him. Who? Mr. John Hench. To say that I was thrilled is a major understatement. I am embarrassed to admit this but I know y'all will understand...When I was introduced to Mr. Hench, I started to thank him for helping Walt build Disneyland. My voice cracked, my eyes welled up with tears and he blushed. I made him feel uncomfortable! I was mortified! I quickly regained my composure, apologized and explained to him that Disneyland meant more to me than just a place to go and ride on rides. He nodded and said he understood and then he said, "Call me John". I just about fell over, LOL. He then motioned for me to come over to his desk and he asked me if I wanted to see some color samples for Angel Stadium. He said that was one of his current projects. Of course, I said yes and for the next 15 minutes there we were, standing next to each ...

To say that this building is beautiful is an understatement! About two weeks ago, my son was able to secure some tickets for me and my roommate to see LeAnn Rimes in concert here and let me tell you, she was FANTASTIC! Now, this theater is quite famous here in Riverside and for good reason. Here is the link to their site and I suggest you look at the photo gallery to see it when it was new. Gorgeous then, still gorgeous now! I only had my phone with me so I snapped a few quick shots before the concert so I could share them with you here. The details in this place are AMAZING. This is a downstairs lobby, near the restrooms...I'll bet back in the day, this place was billowing with cigarette smoke! Normally, I would include some bathroom shots but apparently, if they needed to cut costs during the restoration, they cut them in the bathrooms - they were ultra boring, modern, blah, you get the idea.
