A happy ending...

It never ceases to amaze me when I hear about people abandoning their pets. WHY? In this day and age can you not use the Internet to contact people far and wide and send out a message asking someone to take in your pet???? This poor little guy lived a sad, frightening life until Hope for Paws and Eldad rescued him. Watch this neat video and PLEASE share. Thanks!

A Very Special Horse

In July, 2008, Julie Andrews was honored with a very special horse on the Disneyland carousel. Check it out the next time you visit the Park.

Who wants ice cream?

Everyone that walks either up or down Main Street in Disneyland knows that the ice cream shop is ALWAYS busy. There have been many times when I have overheard someone say "Oh the line is just too darn long - forget it!" Last Tuesday night I noticed something very interesting...and this is good news for you. Never fear I am here with a helpful hint!  If you have the ability to Park hop, go over to DCA because there is never never ever a line in the ice cream shop on Buena Vista Street!

I really wanted a doughnut.

Yes, for the past several days, I've been craving doughnuts. This morning I debated on whether or not to go out and buy a couple. However, my logical side prevailed and I began to rummage through the kitchen to see what ingredients I had on hand to make something good and gooey. I had a stroke of inspiration and began my experiment.... First, I sliced a banana and browned it in butter. I removed the banana and in the same pan, I lightly browned a slice of bread. Then I got these babies...  I put a little spoonful of each on the bread but it wasn't melting fast enough for me so I flipped it over. Then I plated it with another spoonful of peanut butter and the hazlenut chocolate gooey goodness. And then I decided that maybe I should cut it in half and make a sandwich out of it. Once I got to the table I realized that I'd need a fork and a knife to eat it, LOL. Let me tell you, it was GOOD!!!

Mary Poppins and Maleficent

That's something you don't see every day...Mary Poppins and Maleficent in the same sentence! I wanted to share some pictures with you of my friend's daughter. Her name is Charisma and she is adorable. One day, she saw Mary Poppins in the park and nearly melted with adoration for her as you can see in the photo below. A few weeks later, that same adorable little girl excitedly attended the midnight showing of Maleficent on opening day, in costume, ready to take on the world. You'll see what I mean in a bit but first, here's a look at the awesome marquee at the El Capitan.  i My friend and her party were one of the first to be seated. Yes, that's Charisma and her horns, LOL! Here's a cool shot of the movie screen. There was a contest for best costume; you can see Charisma on stage with all the big girls! After the movie, they all went downstairs to check out the displays. Every time someone took her picture, Charisma assumed "the
