Historic Houses

Image
Y'all know how much I love old houses. I was lucky enough to find out about a house tour a few weeks ago and I jumped at the chance to take the tour and see some grand houses. Some are actually being lived in, others are being restored. I scanned the brochure I received that day and have posted pages from it so that you can get a bit of history about each house. Make sure you click on each image to enlarge it! There is plenty of wonderful info in these pages so make sure you don't miss it! And now, The Rindge Mansion, the first house on the tour, the most grand in my opinion. Here's the right side... And the left side. This lamp by the front steps was HUGE. Unfortunately no photos were allowed inside. But they didn't say I couldn't take a picture of the front door! Dig the cars in the driveway. This house was not on the tour but I thought it was beautiful so I took a picture of it. The next house, the Wesley W. Beck...

Disney Cruising Part 6

The cruise is drawing to a close....don't you want to book one of your own? I am in line at Guest Services to ask if my Maleficent jacket had been turned in - I dropped it somewhere on the ship and I had no idea where. Luckily, they had it! While standing in line, I'm admiring the colorful decor... Check out these cool glass circles. Here are a few video clips taken around the ship on our last morning. Finally, the sad ending....one last look at our ship before getting into our parking lot shuttle. Can you believe we reached the end of my adventure? I'm ready to go again, LOL.

Disney Crusing Part 5

Part 5...can you believe it? Oh my gosh, how long is this going to be? And it was only a two day cruise! After we had dinner, we decided to check out the art "sale"...I didn't see any sale prices. Of course, we fell in love with several items, most of which were out of our price range. However, Jen took pictures so that we could take home a little bit of the magic! If there are any of you out there that would like to purchase a belated birthday present for me, I won't stop you. Maleficent would look great in my living-room. Just sayin'. This huge glass sculpture is amazing to behold. Oh, and Charisma is cute, too! Again, thanks to Jen, we can share these super cool and unique lamps with you. Love those tiny Mickey heads! Guess what? Day 2 has come to a close!
