Sunset Boulevard and Historic Buildings

Image
Although I don't drive down Sunset Boulevard as often as I used to, it still is a pretty cool street with tons of things to see. And there are a number of buildings and homes that you don't notice because you are focusing on traffic. When I used to leave nearby, I would often take the side streets and explore the area because I love old buildings. I saw this video yesterday and it saddened me a bit. I thought I'd share it with y'all.

You hungry?

I am. Especially if corn is on the menu! This demonstration blew me away. Another thing I love is FRESH coconut. But how do you open those critters?? I have the answer for you now!

Both sides of the Castle

Image
We start today's post with a photo from yesterday. After looking at the castle and admiring it for a while, I decided to walk through it - into Fantasyland - and then out to the other side of the castle. Personally, I like the Plaza Gardens side a little bit better but each side has its own personality, its own look. Oooh, steps to where??? It's a gorgeous day.... ...and all the little details just seem to pop out at me. The swans look amazing, better than they have in a while. I know this sounds crazy but wouldn't this be a great spot for a picnic?

Carnation Plaza Gardens?

I don't really know if that's the official name for this area but that's what I'm calling it. I love this area, it's always so peaceful. I wonder if ducks tell each other about the good life at Disneyland? Location, location, location, LOL! The castle looks great from any angle, in my humble opinion. Where will we end up next?

Views from the Hub

The Matterhorn is still undergoing refurbishment. The castle is gorgeous, as usual.   Main Street is starting to get crowded.   Those hedges block my view of Plaza Inn. I think they should cut them down but I'm pretty sure they let them grow tall so that people don't grab those tables before a parade and just sit there. Where will we end up tomorrow?

Let's look at Main Street

Again? Silly you. Of course! There is no rhyme or reason to these photos - I just shot what caught my eye. I sooo wish they would make this a coffee house again. I rarely see anyone sitting here. Here's a close-up of one of the window displays. Pretty cool, eh? Work continues on the Carnation Cafe. And now, here's a treat for you...well, sort of. I reached up, up, UP and put my hand over the construction walls to take a few pictures of the Carnation Cafe construction. My first attempt wasn't very good as you can see... However, the next two shots are much better! It was very warm that day so I popped into a shop to escape the sun for a spell and to look at the details that most people don't notice. Back outside, I loved the way this looked in the light. I don't know, it just looks pretty! It's funny, I love taking pictures of the streetcars but I rarely take the time to ride them. What a dope! My last stop on Main Street was a quick...

Snow White T-shirts revealed!

Image
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!! As promised, I returned to Disneyland on the 11th to unfold those Snow White T-shirts. I was going to make you look at ALL of my photos but I'll save that for another day, hee hee..... This shirt is really cute but I was very surprised to find that it is a cropped tee which means very short, to show some belly. The next shirt is very pretty and I wouldn't mind owning one of these.   Here we have yet another cropped tee...not sure how I feel about that.   I included these items because they are apple themed and more importantly, they are for sale!   Look at this pillow!!! I can see two of them on my sofa for sure!!   That's it, Snow fans....gotta figure out a way to get two of those pillows!
