Goodbye, old friend.

It was with great sadness that I read about Leslie Nielsen's passing. I remember how surprised I was a few years ago when I learned that he had a Disney connection .

I've been waiting all year for this

Wednesday is the big day! I will be posting updates on Twitter so you can follow me there if you want a quick WDW fix. Oh on Twitter you can find me under Nectarmaiden. See y'all when I get back! P.S. Is it weird that a total Disney Geek like me is UBER excited about going to see Harry Potter's Wizarding World??? I can hardly wait!

Lack of posts

I've been neglecting my blog! But I have a good reason - I think. I am getting ready to go on vacation. I will post from time to time while I"m gone. I won't rely on the cell phone posts because as we all know, for the most part, they don't work! But whenever I get my hands on a computer, you can be sure I will post updates on my exploits.

Mission Inn Christmas Lights

If you've never heard of the Mission Inn, then take a peek here . It is a GORGEOUS place, full of history and down right awesome. Last night (Friday) was the lighting of the Christmas lights at the hotel. It was beautiful and very cool to see. I took a few pics as well as a short video. Before I got to the Mission Inn, I had to walk past the Courthouse. I thought it looked incredible all lit up at night so of course, I had to take a picture of it. The pedestrian mall that goes from City Hall to the Mission Inn has undergone extensive refurbishing and I think it looks pretty darn good. Now we are in position and waiting for the show to begin. And the fireworks begin! Here is the video I took....not of the whole show, just a taste. Whew, so many people! It took almost half an hour just to get a little closer to the Inn. As we were leaving, I noticed this silly "decoration". That's it for...

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! I hope all of you have a great day. I am very thankful for everything I have in my life and I hope you are too. Here is a link to a very short video that I think you'll enjoy. We had a potluck at work last week and I took a picture of my plate...I know none of you are surprised by this, LOL OK, now on to important stuff...Disneyland stuff! Today's post will feature the queue of Toy Story Mania. I had never noticed all of the signs before...so my discovery is here for your pleasure. I think this area is gorgeous.   Now, we're done and standing under the roller coaster... I looked to my right and saw this? Can someone enlighten me??   I leave you with a quick glimpse at the construction of CarsLand! One more thing..You knew there would be one more thing, right? You have to check this out. Aidan is a little boy fighting cancer. He is getting treatment but as we all know, treatments are expensive, even if yo...

You gotta love the holidays at Disneyland - This video makes me grin like an idiot! And now.... I promised you something special....and I believe this is. At least for me it is! I took this photo by sneaking behind a souvenir cart and quickly stood at the base of the stairs to the Fantasyland Skyway station! Yes, I wanted to run up the stairs but I didn't feel like getting kicked out of the Park!  Be sure to enlarge the picture for a better look. Here my cousin and I are enjoying our "ride" on the teacups.  Now we're pretending that it's a wild ride, LOL. A quick shot of the castle as we make our way to DCA...  It's time for lunch! I must say, this chicken salad was very good. I know I posted this the other day but now you can compare the damage I did to my lunch :-) A few shots of the tree at DCA...can't decide which one I like best. Tomorrow...more to come! F...

I felt like a River Boat Queen boarding her private vessel, being greeted by the Captain! Doesn't it look like we had the whole ship to ourselves? Enjoying the views along the way... My cousin, her daughter and granddaughter... After a relaxing ride, my cousin and I decided to jump on Big Thunder! I wonder why they were running an empty train? Next we headed on over to Big Thunder Ranch. Look at this adorable little  donkey named Pancho! Inside Santa's Cabin. Posing with Mrs. Claus.... And Pluto... I love the real reindeer! Can't remember why I took this picture, LOL! I tried to convince my cousin to eat here but sadly, we'll have to do that another day. That's it for today. Tomorrow I will start with something I think is very special! On a sad note, I thought I should share this link with you.
