Fantasmic Glows Part 1

I'm sorry it has taken so long to get this post up but things just seem to pop up out of nowhere...like looking for a job, LOL.

The Fantasmic! Glow With The Show Premiere was held on August 28th but as you can see below, I had to register (in person) on Aug 14th. I was given the registration confirmation you see here.

My son and I had previously decided to go to Disneyland for the fireworks on August 28th because that would have been my Dad's 100th birthday. And if you know me, you know that my Dad is the person that instilled and encouraged my love of Disneyland so I thought that watching the fireworks would be a fitting tribute to him. The bonus was being able to participate in the Annual Passholder premiere after the Park closed to the general public! Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

We arrived at Disneyland around 6:00 p.m. and we were both starving so we decided to eat at the Hungry Bear because we love the setting. Naturally, as we passed Splash Mountain, I stopped to take a shot. Actually, I took several but none of them really pleased me so I picked one at random to share with you here.

I knew that the Hungry Bear had changed their menu so I was curious to see if they had anything interesting and I was not disappointed. Feast your eyes on this beauty:  Fried Green Tomatoes with a jicama relish. If you are the least bit adventurous,  you HAVE to try this. It was GREAT!!

My son had a bacon chili cheeseburger and while he said it was good, it wasn't great. He tasted my sandwich and his eyes lit up. What does that tell ya?

Taking in the scenery as we enjoy a leisurely dinner...

As you can tell by the next three shots, I really liked this view!

We've finished eating and now it's time to review the pamphlet we received when we got our wristbands.

Oh look! I caught the train as it was going by!

I'm giddy with anticipation!

We'll be back soon!
