I love taking pictures of anything and everything, especially at Disneyland. Why not? It's beautiful! I am a regular contributor to The Disneyland Gazette, a fantastic podcast about my favorite place. I love to travel and seek out hole in the wall eateries. You never know what you'll see here so keep coming back!
Theft at DCA
Location: Disney California Adventure, Tower of Terror
Time: 7:00 p.m.
My friend and her whole family were at DCA for a night of
fun. Unfortunately, it turned into a night of frustration and sadness. My
friend’s sister, Kim, was attempting to get fastpasses for Tower of Terror and
placed her iPhone on top of the fastpass machine. The machine would not dispense a ticket so
she turned to the next machine. At that moment, someone took her phone. When
she turned back, she noticed the phone was gone. A man, dressed all in black
was standing by the fastpass machine and she thought he was a maintenance
worker. She asked him if he had seen her phone and he immediately got defensive
and said, “I didn’t take your phone…Look, I only have mine!” When she began to
tell her family members that the phone disappeared, the man stepped forward and
insisted that she use his phone to call hers in an effort to locate it.
Meanwhile, Kim’s mother was suggesting the same thing, telling Kim to use her phone. The guy kept insisting that
she use his phone, practically putting it into her hands. She did – and unfortunately
that disabled her phone immediately.
Kim contacted guest services and reported the theft and was
told to file a police report which she did. Thinking back over the incident,
she realized that the guy’s response was odd, very odd. The officer told Kim
that apparently this is a new thing – phones are stolen and the perpetrator
insists that you use his phone to call yours in an effort to find it. What the
victim doesn’t know is that the thief has something on his phone that will
immediately disable your phone once you call your number. Sadly, Kim’s phone is
lost forever and according to the officer, probably on its way to being sold on
the black market overseas because here in the states, it will show up as a
You know how many pictures and videos you take. You know how
much information is on your phone. Losing something like that is devastating.
The phone can be replaced. The pictures cannot. DO NOT PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN FOR
This is a true story. I actually know Kim and I work with her sister.
Yes Folks, trash cans! Do you know where these two beauties are? You'll find them as soon as you come through the gates at Disneyland. This should be easy to figure out - Adventureland! How about these? Hmmm??? New Orleans Square! Here's a trick question: Which two lands share the same style of trash can??? You can find these two in Frontierland. Now we're in Fantasyland. Still in Fantasyland but wait!!! The area around It's A Small World has it's very own trash can theme! Tomorrowland!!! OK all you hot shots... WHERE is this MYSTERY trash can???? Do these look familiar? They should. Critter Country has the same theme as Frontierland. I know what you're thinking...you're thinking that I've already posted these and I'm trying to trick you. HA! I have not already posted these! If you look closely, these differ slightly from the trash cans in New Orleans Square. THESE are in the area next to the Haunted
A road trip. A good old fashioned road trip. I had been planning to take one right after retiring from work. Those plans are on hold now. I'm actually thinking about retiring early. I can't stand going to work while everyone around me is so careless. In March I had surgery on my foot, the day after our Governor declared a shut down of California. Luckily my surgery wasn't cancelled but I wondered about returning to work. I naively hoped that the virus would calm down before I had to return. I returned to work on May 5th. Today is November 11th. Since then, I've had to take FOUR Covid tests because of exposure by co-workers. This both worries and angers me. I hate the position I am in. As I write this, I have only 8 months to go and I can retire with full benefits, however, I'm seriously considering retiring early because it's not worth the risk. Yes I am grateful I haven't gotten it. Trust me, I know how lucky I am. I have family members that almost died bec
FUN!!! Oh my goodness, so much fun! I started my afternoon with a great lunch at Wine Country Trattoria. We spent some time going over the food guide... To kill some time we rode Monsters Inc. I love Roz! I tried the Howl-O-Ween and it was an epic failure. I threw it away. That's how bad it was. DO NOT waste your money on this. It consisted of Caramel Vodka and Honest Abe Apple Pie Cider. Genesis tried the Worms, Dice and Everything Nice and it was a thumbs up! Looked really cool, too! It consisted of Midori-Limeade Slush, Gummy Worms and Dice glow cube. Off to the Blue Sky Cellar to check-in for the party and then we left the Park to check-in to our hotel. We stayed at the Anaheim Marriott Suites. We dropped off our bags and then returned to DCA and the first Treat Trail we did was awesome. I present to you my Queen... We each got new ears! The Grizzly Peak Treat Trail was awesome. It had lots of atmosphere... ...a
