It's Sunday and I get to go home today.

Let's see....yesterday I met Alex at 11:00 and we had a quick breakfast at Del Taco. I had a egg, bacon and cheese burrito with a Diet Coke. And then we went on our search for an apartment. We found 2 that we really liked but neither one of us wanted to sign on the dotted line just yet. (Following our gut instincts, I guess!)

Didn't have lunch but went to a dinner party in San Clemente and met some really neat people. I had roasted chicken, rice, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower and for dessert, cheesecake. Yum. Oh, I also tasted the most AMAZING tequila I have ever had in my life and I must buy a bottle soon!!!! I got home around 10:30 p.m. and read for a while. Oh and while I was reading I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. See, at home, I would never do that. I think house sitting makes me eat!

So far I've not eaten anything today (Sunday) but I do want coffee....gonna go search for Carol's coffeemaker.

We interrupt our Disneyland visit to bring you a few pics from Tom's Farms . Ever heard of it? Unless you live in Southern California, probably not. It's a neato keen place and I really dig it. What I Would Give For A Road Trip

A road trip. A good old fashioned road trip. I had been planning to take one right after retiring from work. Those plans are on hold now. I'm actually thinking about retiring early. I can't stand going to work while everyone around me is so careless. In March I had surgery on my foot, the day after our Governor declared a shut down of California. Luckily my surgery wasn't cancelled but I wondered about returning to work. I naively hoped that the virus would calm down before I had to return. I returned to work on May 5th. Today is November 11th. Since then, I've had to take FOUR Covid tests because of exposure by co-workers. This both worries and angers me. I hate the position I am in. As I write this, I have only 8 months to go and I can retire with full benefits, however, I'm seriously considering retiring early because it's not worth the risk.
