Cruising with Disney

I recently went on a short Disney cruise and I want to share all the details with you! Unfortunately, that's going to take some time, LOL. I am currently working on part 1 and part 2 and will share those soon!

Up Periscope!

For those of you that have not heard about it, Periscope is a cool app that lets you stream live video to your Twitter followers. Since Mallory and I both tweet for The Disneyland Gazette, we have experimented with it at the Parks - sometimes it works great and other times, not so much.

On May 5th, Mallory and I met at DCA for a quick dinner and drink at the Cove Bar. While we were waiting, we decided to try Periscope.

Thanks to Mallory, I have a few photos to share with you.

This is the menu showing the drinks we ordered.

Great view of the setting sun.

Here you see Mallory's pizza.

Here are my Tri-Tip Sliders. Very yummy!

One last view of the lagoon before we head over to Disneyland.

Remember that I said Periscope works sometimes and others not so much? Well, we tried using Periscope while walking over to Disneyland and while no one complained about the video quality, when we reviewed it, we found that it was fuzzy. That bothered me quite a bit because I had intentions of sharing that video here with you guys. I'm still going to share it but don't watch it because it will make you dizzy. Just close you eyes and listen to the sounds of Disneyland.

I love that new Marvel movies come out around Mother's Day! My son got VIP tickets to the El Capitan in Hollywood and we went to see The Avengers. MAN!! That movie was incredible!

Here is a video I took on Periscope for a live Twitter stream. I thought you might want a glimpse of the area if you've never been.

Guess what? Thor was posing for pics!

After the movie, we went down to the basement to check out the displays!

It was a great way to spend Mother's Day!
