Lamps and Trees

I didn't know what to title this post, LOL. I noticed this gorgeous lamp at the entrance to one of the bathrooms on Main Street. I want it.

I've always admired the stately trees that are in front of the Main Street Station. Oh, if trees could talk!

I walked over to DCA just because I could. The bridge looked lovely.

It was still quite warm so I sat down outside of Starbucks and enjoyed the view. I also couldn't get enough photos of the Circle Carthay Theater...

...or the Red Car Trolly.

Ah, my favorite - a Very Berry Refresher.

So maybe I did go a little overboard with the Circle Carthay but hey, I had not been to DCA in 297-ish days!

Disneyland Exploration

OK, let's continue walking through Disneyland, shall we? We all know that there is GREAT themeing in the Park but do you realize the extent of it? For example, if you were in New Orleans waaaay back in the day, you would see large sailing ships in the harbor. You might even see the tops of those sails if you were a few blocks away. And look at this! Standing in front of Pirates, if you look up, you see this! Kinda makes you feel like you've gone back in time, doesn't it?

Have you ever wondered where Frontierland ends and New Orleans Square begins? I found the exact spot! Carefully examine the photo below. Frontierland fencing to the left and New Orleans Square to the right.

This shirt is so cute. I love Nerd Mickey. I have it on good authority that he watches The Big Bang Theory.

This is a very nice Snow White tee.

Love this purse!!

This one too!

Nice coordinating accessories, right?

These aren't new but they are so nice. REAL plates for your kitchen. No plastic kiddy stuff!

I stood here and watched the flames for a bit....they must constantly be trimming the trees so that nothing gets near!

Look at that face...

Look closer! I might use this as my profile pic on Facebook.

What can you say about the babbling brook at the entrance to Adventureland? Ya, I couldn't think of anything, either.

This flower caught my eyes because it is very unusual. I don't recall ever seeing it at Disneyland before.

OK, that's it for now.....see ya next time!

Halloween Season Begins!

I went to Disneyland on Friday the 13th knowing that the Halloween goodies would be open to all but not fully realizing just how many people would go! Getting there was a nightmare...the last 4 miles took FOREVER. Thanks to some jerks that kept cutting into my lane, I missed getting into the parking structure. They closed it as I arrived. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I was rerouted to the Woody parking lot - ugh, talk about inconvenient! It took an additional 20 minutes to get to the parking lot and then 10 minutes to wait for a bus. By the time I actually got to the Park I was starving so the first order of business was to EAT! My friend from work met me at the Park and she had never been to the Jolly Holiday Bakery so that's where we went to grab a sandwich. Before placing my order, I snapped pics of the Halloween goodies....make sure you click on the pictures to enlarge them. You'll be able to smell the desserts. I promise!

This chocolate cookie crumb cheesecake is what I got for me!!

The next order of business was to take my friend to the Tiki Room - she had never been!!

We noticed one solitary tree in Frontierland with lights and walked over to it.

Under the tree was a plaque stating that Ray Bradbury always wanted a Halloween Tree in Disneyland so this was decorated in his honor. Strange,, no?

The shooting range was busy and all the sound effects seems especially loud...that's why I turned to look in that direction.

The Dia de los Muertos decorations were in full swing. I love them!!

I had never noticed the Mickey head until my friend pointed it out!

The carousel is down for rehab and yes, I thought about sneaking in!

At the Gallery, there is a carousel horse from the Griffith Park merry-go-round on loan to Disneyland. I went there soooo many times as a child. Lots of good memories!

And this is what I want for Christmas. I'm giving you all plenty of time to get together and pool your resources so you can buy it for me. K?

By this time it was midnight and I was tired so I started heading out. I took a few quick videos of the dance party on Main Street. They are just little snippets but I know you'll enjoy them. (You better!)

Sadly, all good things come to an end....

So here is a last look at the Main Street station before I leave the Park. Until next time when we shall continue looking at my previous visit to Disneyland.

Frontierland, Haunted Mansion and more...

If you didn't know, Big Thunder is under refurbishment and it will be quite a while
before it opens - February of next year!

If only my camera lens was a bit smaller I could have forced it through this opening, LOL!

I noticed that a rogue pirate was climbing the mast of the Columbia. Wait, that ain't no pirate!

The Haunted Mansion is down until the 12th of this month in preparation for Haunted Mansion Holiday. I managed to find a hole to look through.

Yup, those are Halloween decorations waiting to be unveiled!

It was quite muggy so I sat for a spell and enjoyed the views...

OK, time to walk around a bit! Here is a cute and clever sign for you to examine.
Jack Skellington is only too happy to inform you!

I love these! These are the most amazing hanging plants EVER!

I know, I know, it's just a plant. but since I haven't been to the park in 327 days, everything looks new to me!

I think this would look grand hanging on my front porch. Now if I could only figure out a way to get it into my purse with no one noticing...

Ya, he thinks it a stupid idea, too.

That's it for today!
