Halloween Is In The Air! Part 2

Approaching Cars Land I saw this and knew I had to get in line and take advantage of this awesome photo opp!

While waiting for my turn, I took in the sights...

These spiders were everywhere!

Finally it was my turn!

Everywhere you looked, there were great details, many that I missed as I found out when I got home and went online to see what other people had found.

I get such a kick out of these spiders.

Next, I head on over to see Tomater or is it Tomacula?

While waiting in line...

These cones are so cute!

The fountain is adorable but what caught my eye is the sign on the wall in the background. Look at Mater!

Almost there!

He just couldn't get any cuter!

There is so much more to see but it will have to wait until the next post!

Halloween Is In The Air! Part 1

Y'all know that Halloween is my favorite time of year so I simply had to get to the Parks to see the decorations. Sadly, I won't be attending any of the ticketed Halloween festivities because quite honestly, Disney priced them WAAAY out of my reach. So I had to get "my fix" during the day and then rely on YouTube for videos from the party!

As usual, we begin with a construction update. They have completed quite a bit since my last visit!

Pretty impressive, huh?

Approaching DCA you see a MASSIVE Oogie Boogie over the entrance! (Be sure to click on the picture for an enlarged view.)

As you enter Buena Vista Street, you see that Halloween is in the air.

Nice touch on the Hyperion Bridge!

At the end of the street, behind the Walt and Mickey statue, where the Christmas tree normally goes, you'll find the Headless Horseman!

It's awesome!!

What a dufus, LOL! And what a great job they've done on Buena Vista Street!

As I made my way to Cars Land, I noticed that all of the lamp posts had bats with glowing eyes!

Pretty darn cool, huh?

I was really impressed and I couldn't wait to see Cars Land which is exactly what we are going to do...next time!

DCA 9-2-17

I was excited to spend the evening at DCA...until I got there. Nothing against the Park but the weather was horrendous. I had just missed a huge downpour of rain by a few minutes and Anaheim was SO HUMID. It was bad, folks. It was the kind of humidity that instantly made you sweat buckets. My clothes were soaked which to me is a giant YUCK. Anyone who has ever had to walk around in wet jeans knows what I'm talking about. I couldn't take it. I left after 36 minutes! However, I did take a few photos for you so let's commence with my ever so short visit.

The construction project in Mickey and Friends parking structure appears to be completed. Previously I had reported that refurbishment was being done on all levels. It looks nice but you'll notice that it is not color coded. I was parked on level Mickey which previously was red and this is definitely not red.

Naturally I rode the tram to the entrance plaza but by the time I had walked to Cars Land, I was a dripping mess. I sat down to catch my breath for a few minutes. I am the first to admit that I am out of shape but I kid you not, the heat and humidity kills me.

So while I was sitting there, I look a couple of pics of the Cozy Cone Motel sign. For those of you that are interested in such things, the first photo was taken with my iPhone's regular camera.

The second photo was taken using an app called ProCamera. I didn't use any settings, I just pointed and shot. While I like the foreground and the clouds, the sign itself is washed out. I should have adjusted the light settings but I wasn't thinking. (Brain was over heated).

We all know that Disneyland's address is 1313 Harbor Blvd. But did you know that DCA's address is 1515 Harbor Blvd? I didn't! How did I find that out? The details of my photos told me the GPS location! Pretty cool, me thinks. This is one of my favorite spots to take photos in DCA.

And then I always have to zoom in...

One last shot for the night and then I had had enough of the heat and humidity! I can't wait for Fall.

Historyland - Adventure Thru Inner Space

I was supposed to post this on Friday and...I forgot! OOPS

Well, you can still enjoy this trip back in time. Those of you that got to experience this attraction probably remember it fondly. I know I do. If it was still there today, just think of the improvements and changes they could do now that everything is digital. Tomorrowland is due for a BIG makeov3r and I hope they make it happen within the next five years. Oh and if anyone is listening, BRING BACK THE PEOPLEMOVER. Don't tell me that the cost is prohibitive. You are spending BILLIONS on Star Wars lands on both coasts so I know you can do it.
