No Good News

I got some crappy news the other day. Remember that test I took? Apparently, I didn't pass. Blew my mind, totally. Since then, I've received emails from other prospective employers, all of them "thanks but no thanks".  This is really starting to get scary... Well, I just wanted you to know the latest.  You all have been so nice and given me kind words of support and you can't imagine what that means to me.

Poor little kitty!

Little Dakota was turned in to the Orange County shelter with a broken leg. Although we didn't have room for another broken kitty, we couldn't see this sweet kitty euthanized just because he had a broken leg. Dakota had surgery on Friday and we need your help to pay for his medical bills.

DCA for Dessert!

We continue Tuesday's visit with dessert at DCA. But first, I grab the latest paper on Buena Vista Street! Mind you, I was too lazy to take my camera out of my purse so the rest of these are taken with my iPhone. I had decided that I really like the pies at Flo's V8 Diner so that's where I headed for some gooey goodness. While eating, I glanced up and fell in love with this uber cool light fixture. 20 minutes later, feeling like a stuffed sausage, I waddled out of Flo's and into Ramon's shop to see if my purse was still there. Nope! They were sold out. I threw myself on the floor and cried. OK, so I didn't really, but I wanted to. They did, however, have a new purse which is really quite cute BUT...it's $85.95!!! Ouch! As I headed out of Radiator Spring, I noticed that there were people inside of the Mechanical Clinic? WHAT??? So ya, apparently I'm the only one that didn't know there was overflow seating for Flo's inside

A Test and Disneyland Visit

Image
Confused? Don't be. On Tuesday, I took a test with a company in Orange County and I think it went quite well. Since I was out there and I didn't really feel like sitting on the 91 freeway for 2 hours, I decided to go to Disneyland. I loved seeing the pumpkin characters above the turnstiles! The City Hall area is apparently being renovated. As I was walking by, I saw that the horse had been disconnected from the trolley! The colors of Halloween! By this time it was 4:20 in the afternoon and I was STARVING. I went to the Carnation Cafe and ordered a fantastic cheeseburger with fries. Oh it was good. You can see that I had practically the whole place to myself! After that GREAT burger, I walked to Frontierland and stopped to check out the cool Halloween stuff. Here you see a Leota snow globe. It is really cool and has a battery operated light which I turned on for the photo. At $24.95 it was a bit too steep for this unemployed Disney Freak so I h

Finally, a bite!!

I received an email last week inviting me to take a written test for a position. Finally a bite! The test is tomorrow in Irvine, at 1:00 PM. After the test, I am going to Disneyland for some stress relief, LOL! Keep me in your thoughts, y'all!

Fantasmic Glows Part 3

Image
Howdy there, friends and neighbors. We've got pictures! Lots of them, and I'm sharing them all with you whether they are good, bad or indifferent. Why? Because as of this writing I've got a stupid head cold and I have no idea when I'll be going back to the Parks so enjoy it while you can. Today we finish up our Fantasmic Glow With The Show report and while I must admit that I didn't take any photos of the actual Fantasmic show (I got stuck in the back) I did take plenty of pictures of all the happy annual passholders in their flashing ear hats.  I gotta tell ya, I got the biggest kick out of those ears! The moon was out and looking rather cool. It was a great night to be in New Orleans Square.   How often do you see NOS this empty? Now my attention is focused back on the ears.   Sorry this is blurry but it looks kinda cool, no? There's Mr. Red #10 again and this time his ears are orange! And then my brain s
