Too nice to be inside...

I know it's been a very long time since I've posted something on this blog. The truth of the matter is that a combination of things have kept be away from my blog. One of those things is actually work. Yes, I found a temporary job working from home. I've been at it for two weeks and enjoying it but I'll like it even more when I start getting an actual paycheck, LOL. I'm just counting the days.

Also on the good news wagon - I have an interview with a nearby city next week so I'm asking all of you to keep your fingers crossed for me!

Today was a beautiful day, weather wise. I couldn't justify staying indoors all day so I got in the car and went to a local park. Fairmount Park in Riverside is a beautiful old park and while I'd driven by it numerous times, I had never taken the time to explore it until today. So sit back, relax, and walk with me through the park.

I saw this cool building and found out that it is a boating house. Boating house? There's water? Sure enough, there is a lake in this park!

I spent about an hour leisurely strolling and admiring the old trees. More on that later...

At first, I was going to walk all the way around the lake and then I found out that it is quite large. I'll have to save that for another trip.

Isn't this cool? Lots of people were in the park eating lunch and feeding the ducks.

Here are some more of those cool old trees.

The park had a cool bandstand, and large playground area as well as some basketball and tennis courts.

I only spent an hour inside the park but I do want to go back because there is so much more to explore.

Good luck on your job opportunity!
