Fox Performing Arts Theater

To say that this building is beautiful is an understatement! About two weeks ago, my son was able to secure some tickets for me and my roommate to see LeAnn Rimes in concert here and let me tell you, she was FANTASTIC!

Now, this theater is quite famous here in Riverside and for good reason. Here is the link to their site and I suggest you look at the photo gallery to see it when it was new. Gorgeous then, still gorgeous now!

I only had my phone with me so I snapped a few quick shots before the concert so I could share them with you here.


The details in this place are AMAZING.


This is a downstairs lobby, near the restrooms...I'll bet back in the day, this place was billowing with cigarette smoke!



Normally, I would include some bathroom shots but apparently, if they needed to cut costs during the restoration, they cut them in the bathrooms - they were ultra boring, modern, blah, you get the idea.

Now the light fixtures in the main street level lobby are another thing all together. This shot is for Dave!

The venue is fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Upside down Christmas Trees?

We interrupt our Disneyland visit to bring you a few pics from Tom's Farms . Ever heard of it? Unless you live in Southern California, probably not. It's a neato keen place and I really dig it. I had not been there in 10 years so it was high time I paid them a visit. They have tons of outdoor seating and it's a great place to people watch. MLB Food Fest

The Food Fest was held at The Reef in Downtown LA. Each person got this bracelet with an RFID chip. That chip would keep track of the food offerings you selected inside and once you reached your limit, it would no longer work. A list of the beers being offered. The first thing I tried was Bhan Mi which consisted of slab bacon, asian slaw, sriracha mayo and a hot dog bun. Then I tired the Wisconsin Ultimate Cheese Fry which consisted of craft beer fries, cheddar cheese sauce, cheddar cheese curds, apple wood smoked bacon and minced chives. Next up were the Sisig Fries which consisted of sisig marinated chicken, Fresno chiles, fried yams, sriracha cilantro crema over fries. While I was in line for the Elote Nuggets, I took a short video so you could see the Food Fest. These were my favorite! Elote Nuggets consisting of corn nuggets, queso cotija, cayenne mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Fish and Chips from London! Batt
