Disneyland Hotel - Missing the Waterfalls

Quite a while back I did a couple of posts about the old waterfalls that used to be on the grounds of the hotel. I really miss those waterfalls. They provided a magical atmosphere to the grounds - at least to me. I was reminiscing about those waterfalls so I made a visit to the hotel to walk the grounds and remember an area that filled me with wonder when I was a child. I know I'm not alone. I know that there are many of you that feel the same way and probably have not been to the hotel since everything changed.

There was nobody in front of these topiary so I had to snap a picture!


The hotel is looking mighty spiffy nowadays.


I am on the prowl for cats...


Still looking for those kitties while I make my way to the wedding gazebo.

I guess my invite got lost in the mail. Isn't it a beautiful setting?


I continued towards the former site of the waterfalls. This is what is there now.



I made a brief stop at the outdoor fireplace before heading home. As you can see it was empty and I had it all to myself for about 5 minutes.

Upside down Christmas Trees?

We interrupt our Disneyland visit to bring you a few pics from Tom's Farms . Ever heard of it? Unless you live in Southern California, probably not. It's a neato keen place and I really dig it. I had not been there in 10 years so it was high time I paid them a visit. They have tons of outdoor seating and it's a great place to people watch. MLB Food Fest

The Food Fest was held at The Reef in Downtown LA. Each person got this bracelet with an RFID chip. That chip would keep track of the food offerings you selected inside and once you reached your limit, it would no longer work. A list of the beers being offered. The first thing I tried was Bhan Mi which consisted of slab bacon, asian slaw, sriracha mayo and a hot dog bun. Then I tired the Wisconsin Ultimate Cheese Fry which consisted of craft beer fries, cheddar cheese sauce, cheddar cheese curds, apple wood smoked bacon and minced chives. Next up were the Sisig Fries which consisted of sisig marinated chicken, Fresno chiles, fried yams, sriracha cilantro crema over fries. While I was in line for the Elote Nuggets, I took a short video so you could see the Food Fest. These were my favorite! Elote Nuggets consisting of corn nuggets, queso cotija, cayenne mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Fish and Chips from London! Batt
