Car Restoration Update

Several of you have asked me to keep tabs on my brother-in-law's car restoration. If you want to see the first post about this, you can find it here.

I spent the 4th at my sister's house and thought I'd ask my brother-in-law what he has done to the car. For starters, he washed it, LOL. Then he showed me how these long, narrow panels come off for easier access to the engine...

He also removed the running boards and is treating them with a rust removal product. Will take more pics next time I go over.   :-)

Hi Connie............Thanks for thinking of us!!

This is going to be a fun restoration project to follow. Looking forward to more updates.
Whoa, is that engine salvageable? That's a lot of rust, but maybe it's all on the outside.

Looks like this is going to be an interesting process to watch!

It seems that the body of the car is in good shape, so restoring that area won’t be too much of a problem. And it may sound silly, but I just want to know if the engine’s still running. That level of rust is enough to render the engine useless, if you ask me. I’m excited to know the progress of this project, Connie. :)
