Recap of my Trip Part 1

OK...Some of you have requested additional photos and details (Flattery will get you everywhere, LOL!) so here we go...

My trip began on December 1st. My friends picked me up at the airport and we went straight to Downtown Disney to walk around. After sitting on a plane for 4.5 hours, I needed to walk!

We briefly explored this restaurant that reminded me of the Rainforest Cafe only much cooler. Here are just a few pics...



Isn't this place amazing???




We continued walking around Downtown Disney and I just had to get my picture taken next to a Christmas tree.


Next, we drove over to Wilderness Lodge to check out the decorations. I was impressed with how festive the lobby looked.
 

We ended the evening by going to the Polynesian and sitting on the beach to wait for the fireworks.


It was sooooo flippin' cold that we grabbed pool towels and used them on our shoulders and legs to help keep warm, LOL!!!

Upside down Christmas Trees?

We interrupt our Disneyland visit to bring you a few pics from Tom's Farms . Ever heard of it? Unless you live in Southern California, probably not. It's a neato keen place and I really dig it. I had not been there in 10 years so it was high time I paid them a visit. They have tons of outdoor seating and it's a great place to people watch. I had a great bacon cheeseburger and then walked off my lunch by window shopping. A life sized Santa! (And he looks a bit creepy the way he's standing there. "Hey baby.." MLB Food Fest

The Food Fest was held at The Reef in Downtown LA. Each person got this bracelet with an RFID chip. That chip would keep track of the food offerings you selected inside and once you reached your limit, it would no longer work. A list of the beers being offered. The first thing I tried was Bhan Mi which consisted of slab bacon, asian slaw, sriracha mayo and a hot dog bun. Then I tired the Wisconsin Ultimate Cheese Fry which consisted of craft beer fries, cheddar cheese sauce, cheddar cheese curds, apple wood smoked bacon and minced chives. Next up were the Sisig Fries which consisted of sisig marinated chicken, Fresno chiles, fried yams, sriracha cilantro crema over fries. While I was in line for the Elote Nuggets, I took a short video so you could see the Food Fest. These were my favorite! Elote Nuggets consisting of corn nuggets, queso cotija, cayenne mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Fish and Chips from London! Batt
