We Interrupt My Trip Report...

I thought you'd like to see some Disneyland shots I took on December 30th.
Unfortunately, a couple are a bit fuzy but I've included them anyway because...well, just because!

We begin with my customary arrival clock shot.




Here's something for future viewers, circa 2089, so that they can
marvel at the merchandise.



Darn, this didn't come out like I wanted...




While my son was in line for a churro, I looked up and thought: "Hmmm...I should shoot that!"






As we waited in line for the Monorail, the subs said "Shoot me, shoot me!"...



After our Monorail ride, we decided we wanted corndogs and right in the middle of taking a bite, I noticed the ceiling of the Plaza Inn...


Yup, greasy fingers and all, I grabbed my camera!


After our delicious corndogs, we headed over to the Grand Californian to see their tree. It is a beauty!

  
Here is a close-up of the "presents".



We stayed up on the 3rd floor for about 15 minutes, just enjoying the atmosphere and then....we headed back out into the cold to get some beignets before calling it a night!

Lovely shots of the subs at night; it's funny, with all the zillions of photos of Disneyland available online, I'm not sure I've seen ANY pictures of the lagoon/subs at night!

Can you believe it's January 2 already? The year is just flying by!

Upside down Christmas Trees?

We interrupt our Disneyland visit to bring you a few pics from Tom's Farms . Ever heard of it? Unless you live in Southern California, probably not. It's a neato keen place and I really dig it. I had not been there in 10 years so it was high time I paid them a visit. They have tons of outdoor seating and it's a great place to people watch. I had a great bacon cheeseburger and then walked off my lunch by window shopping. A life sized Santa! (And he looks a bit creepy the way he's standing there. "Hey baby.." Ever seen an upside down Christmas tree? Me either! I decided to take pictures of all the trees... Look! Another upside down Christmas tree. MLB Food Fest

The Food Fest was held at The Reef in Downtown LA. Each person got this bracelet with an RFID chip. That chip would keep track of the food offerings you selected inside and once you reached your limit, it would no longer work. A list of the beers being offered. The first thing I tried was Bhan Mi which consisted of slab bacon, asian slaw, sriracha mayo and a hot dog bun. Then I tired the Wisconsin Ultimate Cheese Fry which consisted of craft beer fries, cheddar cheese sauce, cheddar cheese curds, apple wood smoked bacon and minced chives. Next up were the Sisig Fries which consisted of sisig marinated chicken, Fresno chiles, fried yams, sriracha cilantro crema over fries. While I was in line for the Elote Nuggets, I took a short video so you could see the Food Fest. These were my favorite! Elote Nuggets consisting of corn nuggets, queso cotija, cayenne mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Fish and Chips from London! Batt
