Road Trip Bonanza Part 3
Oh good gosh...this probably won't come as a surprise to you but I honestly can't tell if these pictures are from the latter part of day 1, entering Utah, or day 2, approaching Colorado! Uff da!
Debby took them with her phone while I was driving and she sent them to me yesterday but she couldn't remember WHEN she took them either, LOL. So enjoy the scenery!!

We go outside to load up the car to find that it had lightly snowed. Check out the windshield.
For the first 15 minutes of our drive all is going well. And then...all of a sudden, Cuddles begins to change into demon kitty. Oh oh! Pull out the iPhone and find a PETCO, quick!
We got there just as they opened! Debby ran inside and bought 2 of the magic collars. We put one in the cage and within 5 minutes, Cuddles was as calm as a sleeping kitten. Road trip back on track! We drove on for a spell and then decided to check out a rest stop - and the snow, LOL.
I had not been in or near snow in years so I was excited to jump out and walk around.
Such a cool looking rest stop!
Look! A Bigfoot foot print!
I am loving this.
We pull into Vail, Colorado...lots of people skiing! I "checked in" on Foursquare just so I could say I had been to Vail, LOL.
The windshield was icing up so we stopped to get some windshield cleaner with de-icer. Good thing to have!
Time for lunch. We got off the highway and started looking for a place to eat...
...and ended up at Chick-fil-A. After lunch we looked for a gas station...found one...and it was closed. I pulled out my iPhone to find the next one and we went on a wild goose chase of sorts. Finally found one, gassed up and we were on our way once again. I must say, for a girl that grew up in the big city surrounded by stuff, I was very impressed to see nothing for miles and miles!
A quick pit stop and you would NOT believe the bathroom. I have pictures to prove how disgusting it was! I don't think the sinks have been cleaned since the place opened and WHO uses sodas to prop the door open????
Time to stop and trade places so I walked around the car a few times, Debby took a smoke break and then she took over the steering wheel.
By this time, we were soooo tired and really looking forward to dinner and some sleep. By the time we got the car unloaded and got the cat situated we were too tired to drive anywhere. Luckily, there was a restaurant 2 doors down so we walked...
Since it was so late (I'm used to eating dinner around 6) Debby and I decided to share an appetizer sampler plate. I was so hungry, I forgot to take a picture of it, LOL. However, we decided to have dessert and I do have pictures of that!
Great way to end the day, right??
