Knott's Saloon

I had never, EVER been inside the saloon for more than a few minutes, just long enough to buy a soda and walk out so today I was excited to actually see a show.


I noticed some stairs and asked if I could go up to the balcony. Guess what? I had it all to myself!

While I was waiting, I noticed this little detail...See the fancy cup of beer in the center?

The show begins!


At first, I felt bad because I was the only person in the audience but then they started talking to me. Once they found out where I lived, they incorporated jokes about it in their act. I was cracking up!


After the show, I remembered that there used to be a gunfight from the balcony outside of the building so I went in search of that. Found the door...and noticed the unique ironwork.


Then I poked my lens through it for this shot.


Back outside, I went in search of the Bottle House. I don't know why, but as a kid, this place always fascinated me.

Ouch! That would be a little awkward being the only person in the audience. The singer usually pulls someone from the lower level and brings them over in front of the bar and talks to them (and I think she sings a song to them too). It's always been a male guest when I've seen the show. If there's nobody downstairs, I guess they just cut that part out of the show.

We interrupt our Disneyland visit to bring you a few pics from Tom's Farms . Ever heard of it? Unless you live in Southern California, probably not. It's a neato keen place and I really dig it. I had not been there in 10 years so it was high time I paid them a visit. They have tons of outdoor seating and it's a great place to people watch. MLB Food Fest

The Food Fest was held at The Reef in Downtown LA. Each person got this bracelet with an RFID chip. That chip would keep track of the food offerings you selected inside and once you reached your limit, it would no longer work. A list of the beers being offered. The first thing I tried was Bhan Mi which consisted of slab bacon, asian slaw, sriracha mayo and a hot dog bun. Then I tired the Wisconsin Ultimate Cheese Fry which consisted of craft beer fries, cheddar cheese sauce, cheddar cheese curds, apple wood smoked bacon and minced chives. Next up were the Sisig Fries which consisted of sisig marinated chicken, Fresno chiles, fried yams, sriracha cilantro crema over fries. While I was in line for the Elote Nuggets, I took a short video so you could see the Food Fest. These were my favorite! Elote Nuggets consisting of corn nuggets, queso cotija, cayenne mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Fish and Chips from London! Batt
