I have often said that one of the more dramatic things to happen in the park is the 'draining and rehab' of the Rivers of America.
It was fun to watch the Little Engine That Could; usually, most captures are momentary at best, here we get time to be drawn into the excitement it provides to the young at heart.
>> Stroller Wars; Ahhhhhhhhh! <<
No matter the decade, thar be strollers ye have to be dealings with'n.
A very nice look at a very wonderful time. What was interesting was no look at tomorrow.

There is an issue of Disney News Magazine from 1970 (I believe) and it has an article about the draining of the Rivers entitled, "Dry Me A River." That might have been the first time it was drained. The article gives stats on how many cameras, eyeglasses and baby shoes were found at the bottom!

Love the avocado green Monorail!
