Halloween Is In The Air! Part 1

Image
Y'all know that Halloween is my favorite time of year so I simply had to get to the Parks to see the decorations. Sadly, I won't be attending any of the ticketed Halloween festivities because quite honestly, Disney priced them WAAAY out of my reach. So I had to get "my fix" during the day and then rely on YouTube for videos from the party! As usual, we begin with a construction update. They have completed quite a bit since my last visit! Pretty impressive, huh? Approaching DCA you see a MASSIVE Oogie Boogie over the entrance! (Be sure to click on the picture for an enlarged view.) As you enter Buena Vista Street, you see that Halloween is in the air. Nice touch on the Hyperion Bridge! At the end of the street, behind the Walt and Mickey statue, where the Christmas tree normally goes, you'll find the Headless Horseman! It's awesome!! What a dufus, LOL! And what a great job they've done on Buena Vista Stree...

DCA for Dessert!

Image
We continue Tuesday's visit with dessert at DCA. But first, I grab the latest paper on Buena Vista Street! Mind you, I was too lazy to take my camera out of my purse so the rest of these are taken with my iPhone. I had decided that I really like the pies at Flo's V8 Diner so that's where I headed for some gooey goodness. While eating, I glanced up and fell in love with this uber cool light fixture. 20 minutes later, feeling like a stuffed sausage, I waddled out of Flo's and into Ramon's shop to see if my purse was still there. Nope! They were sold out. I threw myself on the floor and cried. OK, so I didn't really, but I wanted to. They did, however, have a new purse which is really quite cute BUT...it's $85.95!!! Ouch! As I headed out of Radiator Spring, I noticed that there were people inside of the Mechanical Clinic? WHAT??? So ya, apparently I'm the only one that didn't know there was overflow seating for Flo's inside ...

I'm loving DCA!

I've said it before and I suppose you will tire of it eventually but I can't help it. I am totally wrapped up in it and loving DCA. The Cozy Cone "Motel" is a delight. Ya sure, it is a series of snack stands but come on, LOOK AT IT! You can't walk by and not smile. You just can't! The flowers, the lights, the planters - everything is a cone and I love it. Lightning McQueen makes an appearance several times a day and the kids love it. Believe it or not, they sell Mater teeth!!!! I will be taking pictures here for years to come. Oh Cozy Cone, I love you, LOL. Back on Buena Vista Street, I like that the Chamber of Commerce is now Guest Relations.  I had some fun with Instagram... first the original shot... And now the Instagram version. Original shot... Instagram version. I rode Mater's Junkyard Jamboree for the first time. Love the "decorating" that he did. Oh and yes,...
