DCA and Disneyland Goodies

Image
Well glory be...Woohoo! First time in the new parking structure! In the Esplanade, this vehicle was on display. It's pretty cool but I would have chosen a different vehicle. Maybe it's just me but a mini van doesn't seem like the right fit. They wanted to be sure everyone knew that DCA would be closing early... Not sure what's getting updated here... I popped into Elias & Co. to see if there was anything new..... Ooooh a Hocus Pocus Dooney! I got such a kick out of the way Pluto was signing autographis! I told Pluto that I was a cat lady but he was OK with it because my purse had Disney cats on it. A few of these cool screen fences lined the walkway next to the Wilderness Creek Challenge Trail. It was open but I decided that I really wanted to see it at night so I opted to wait until I attend the Oggie Boogie Bash on October 3rd. By this time I was hungry and I wanted to see what was being offered at Rancho del Zocalo so I m...

Galaxy's Edge - Looking Back

Image
The excitement is mounting for Galaxy's Edge now that everyone knows the opening date at Disneyland. You can find pictures all over the Internet like this one. But I thought it would be fun to see just how far we've come! These were taken from the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure a while back.  What a difference! And just in case you are wondering, I took these photos on July 10, 2016.

Diningland - SMOKEJUMPERS GRILL

Image
Mallory and I went to the new SmokeJumpers Grill to record a segment of Diningland. We tried to do a live stream using Periscope but alas, we were not able to get a strong enough signal. However, all is not lost because here are a few pictures from that afternoon. Here's one more look at the entrance. While the building remains basically the same, it does have a new paint job. The interior decorations have COMPLETELY changed, reflecting the history of California firefighting with an emphasis on Smoke Jumpers. If for some reason you don't know what Smoke Jumpers are, I'll tell you. They are VERY brave firefighters that literally jump our of planes into the fires, blindly jumping into smoke! The fixins' bar is still there! Mallory had the cheeseburger and fries. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of coleslaw. No, the onion rings are not mine!   The onion rings were for my friend, Erik, but he graciously let me have a...

Dinner at the Carthay Circle Part 2

Image
HA!  I fooled you! Actually, these pictures were taken after we had dinner at the Carthay Circle so I'm not really fibbing, right? A quick peek inside Off The Page and I knew I had to post this first shot on Facebook for my Star Wars lovin' friends. The Mad T Party was just starting up so we walked over there to investigate. The stage is really cool, especially once it gets darker. I really want to go back some night, buy a drink, sit back and just dig it! I believe this young lady is a castmember...I sure hope so! This guy was really cool to watch! Here is the House of Cards.  Oh and let me tell you, the merchandise for Mad T Party is GREAT!!! After hanging out at the Mad T Party, we went into Monsters Inc. I took a few pics with my phone mainly because I wondered if they would be any good. The verdict? Not so much. Most were blurry so they got deleted. These are the best of the bunch. Here is Ro...
