Halloween Arrives at Disneyland Part Two

Image
Back again - I never tire of this place - This time to take a good look at some of those wonderful details that so many never notice. I returned to the Park on Friday, September 26th just a few minutes after opening. The window displays at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream shop always make me smile and this time was no exception. Look at this pumpkin carved with an exact replica of the logo! I heard singing behind me and turned around to see the Dapper Dans. I walked up and down Main Street for a while and then started taking pictures again. Let's get back to those windows at the Gibson Girl, shall we? I zoomed in on this assortment of vintage decorations. Aren't they cool? The table is set for Halloween sundaes and other goodies. I love the hat! I stepped into the Fortuosity Shop looking for new merchandise. I found something interesting! I realize that since these pants are on a hanger, the design is upside down but you can still see that...

Shrimp, Fantasy Ducks and ...

As I stated previously, I was mighty hungry so I stopped in at the Carnation Cafe. They were offering a shrimp pasta special so I decided to try it. If you are a foodie like me, this dish won't wow you but it will satisfy. It could have used a bit more flavoring but I guess they have to appeal to the masses and it's probably better to be a bit on the mild side. If there had been a bottle of Siracha on the table, I would have poured it on. I was pleasantly surprised to find SIX shrimp in the dish and they were hefty ones, too! I ate leisurely, all the while grinning like the Cheshire Cat because I was so happy to be at Disneyland. Tummy full, I slowly made my up Main Street. The reflection of all the guests in the window of the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor made me pause...I thought it was kinda neat. I actually stood there for several minutes, taking everything in, not wanting to leave Main Street! Ah, the ducks. Those lucky devils get to live at Disneyland. ...

I wanted to get a shot of all the goodies but ended up getting an unusually good "reflection" shot! Ron Dominguez's window. It seems to me that the Arcade could use a little bit more holiday spirit. Oh, how I wanted a pumpkin spice latte! The Gibson Girl looks so pretty! Now it's time to enjoy the Haunted Mansion. I love this attraction...any time of year!   Hope you enjoyed these. More tomorrow!
