Damper Day

Image
UPDATE:  Well, sort of... Art, if you are reading this, by all means save a copy of your photo! Sorry folks, I needed to address a comment I got and had no other way to reply to the gentleman! Now let's get on with our story. No, that wasn't a typo... I went to Disneyland for Dapper Day but it was so darn wet (not that I'm complaining) and I felt bad for everyone who had gotten dressed up to go to the Park. I took a couple of pictures but was so paranoid about getting my camera wet that I gave up and just enjoyed the Park! I pulled out my phone to take a photo, not realizing I had it set on video so here you see 2 seconds of a very wet Main Street! Let's walk together, shall we? And then, just as I shut off the camera... What's this? Pushing water with push brooms? My friends and I decided to meet at Rancho del Zocalo for lunch. (Here's a link to the menu .) As we paid for our meals, the rain started POURING down. As you may know, the sea...

Disneyland Exploration

OK, let's continue walking through Disneyland, shall we? We all know that there is GREAT themeing in the Park but do you realize the extent of it? For example, if you were in New Orleans waaaay back in the day, you would see large sailing ships in the harbor. You might even see the tops of those sails if you were a few blocks away. And look at this! Standing in front of Pirates, if you look up, you see this! Kinda makes you feel like you've gone back in time, doesn't it? Have you ever wondered where Frontierland ends and New Orleans Square begins? I found the exact spot! Carefully examine the photo below. Frontierland fencing to the left and New Orleans Square to the right. This shirt is so cute. I love Nerd Mickey. I have it on good authority that he watches The Big Bang Theory. This is a very nice Snow White tee. Love this purse!! This one too! Nice coordinating accessories, right? These aren't new but they are so nice. REAL plates f...

Frontier Christmas Merchandise

Image
A little voice in my head kept telling me to go into the stores in Frontierland. This is a different voice from the ones that regularly speak to me, LOL. I found the decorations so charming and inviting. Now let's examine the merchandise! These antenna balls are awesome! Love these wine bottle stoppers! Aw, a tiny Duffy! I WANT THIS!! Gorgeous! Another charming little tree inside the store. For you Donald tote bag lovers... The Christmas tote bag is adorable. I got a kick out of Pooh in pajamas. And yet another tree in the same store. They're in the spirit! I don't think any of these are new but they sure are pretty! Now these are new...and gorgeous! Adorable! I purchased some of those antenna balls and then headed to New Orleans Square so come back tomorrow to see what dessert I ate. Oh and one more thing.... Some of you are familiar with the Mission Inn. Here is a short little video about the Christmas lights.

The Disneyland Christmas Tree

Image
But first...yesterday I forgot to show you that some benches had been set up facing the train station. My guess is that they are for the candlelight service. Let's examine some of the ornaments on the tree, shall we? The gingerbread cookie looks good enough to eat but not the Nutcracker. I've tried them before - too chewy. So many pretty ornaments. I wish I could have taken more photos but being height challenged presents its limitations, LOL. I love me some Disneyland at Christmas time! Fell in love with this. I want one of these in my living room. Full size, of course. So what if it takes up the entire room. Ah, there she is....I'm talking about the castle. Someday I hope to be able to shoot this in the early morning light. I mean REALLY early morning light. Like before the Park opens early morning light. Love the flowers. I love all the little touches in the Park. "Greetings from the Matterhorn" And now let's head to Fro...
