Halloween Is In The Air! Part 5

Image
And now...a brief visit to Disneyland! I love seeing all the Fall colors in the Park, especially in the planters. Yes, I had to take advantage of this, LOL. I decided to ride the Mark Twain...It was nice to see one of the keel boats. It was also nice to see guests enjoying the island! They have added quite a few Weeping Willows along the shoreline. I think it's a nice touch. It's also a lot easier to see the Fort now. I just wish they would put roofs on the towers so that it at least looks like it used to even if we no longer have access to it. Here is a brief video of some of the noticeable changes along the river. It's been a while since I've been on the island. Seeing these stairs made me want to go back and explore it again.   Now we're chasing The Columbia, LOL!!   It was really hot and muggy so I decided to leave and relax a while in the lobby of the Grand Californian. On my way out, I c...

A Slow Start Back

Surprised to see me back? Ya, me too. I miss blogging, I really do and yet, I don't have the time to blog like I used to. So I made a promise to myself that I would post something at least twice a month. I know it's not much but I don't have much to blog about either. I don't go to the Parks as often as I used to because I live farther away and quite frankly, that 91 Freeway is a killer no matter what time of day or night you drive it. Ugh. But even though I'm not going as often as I used to, I still have TONS of photos to share. Photos that were taken way before blogs even existed. They are in no particular order and will vary in subject matter. The quality won't be a good as in previous posts but that is because Shutterfly has taken my photos as prisoners and if I want a high resolution image, I have to buy it. I am not buying my own photos!  OK, enough complaining. Let's get to the pictures. This first shot of the castle is a pretty cool one even if I...

Disneyland 5-16-10

As usual, my obligatory shot of the Main Street Station so I can see what time I arrived, LOL. Sitting on the porch of City Hall, watching the "towns people"... Sorry this is so dark but I was VERY surprised to see FOUR trasnportation vehicles on Main Street at the same time. You know what that means: CROWDS! My friends and I decide to have lunch at the Carnation Cafe, which is one of my favorite places to eat at Disneyland. Something about all of these umbrellas appealed to me. Patiently waiting for my lunch. The smile belies the starving, snarling, growling bear of hunger I am hiding like the true lady that I am, LOL! I had already devoured 1/4 of the sandwich before I realized I had not taken a picture of my lunch. After lunch, we strolled over to Frontierland and while my friends shopped, I watched the band. Let's go ride the Columbia! We got there just as the ship was leaving so we waited for the next vo...
