I had to be there, I simply HAD to be there. It was crowded and it was hot but I had made up my mind that I would ignore it and enjoy the fact that I was there. Paint the Night was BEYOND phenomenal. I did not film it, I did not Tweet it, I did not Periscope it because I needed to be fully there in the moment, taking it all in. I am not ashamed to say that tears were flowing like a broken water pipe. The parade brought back memories of waiting (sometimes impatiently) and also the satisfaction and wonder of the original Electrical Parade. The fireworks had me looking left, right, up and down constantly. Wow, what a show! Again, I simply watched and experienced the show. You can find tons of videos on YouTube If you so desire. I simply enjoyed the show and kept thinking about my Dad and how much he loved the fireworks and I knew he was watching with me. So now, I will share a few pictures taken that day. I got my badge!! My friends, Karen and Peter took me to di...

Honey Badger visits Disneyland

Image
The rumors you've heard are true - the Honey Badger visited Disneyland. I first spotted him relaxing near City Hall on Main Street. The Disneyland Gazette team is on the job doing research to keep YOU in touch with The Land! Actually, Shawn told me that Luke was in the Park so we met up with him for a picture because the three of us hadn't been together since August of last year. Next stop is the Matterhorn which I was eager to ride! I know a lot of people have said that it is really bumpy and rough now but to be totally honest, I didn't think it was any different. Oh and short me had no problem with the new vehicle, LOL. Now I'm on the train, enjoying the view... Lo and behold, the Honey Badger is on the train, too! We did the Grand Circle Tour and decided to ride the Monorail over to the Disneyland Hotel for lunch. When we boarded, we were lucky enough to ride in the very front and guess who was with us? Yup, that pesky Honey Badger! ...

Riverside's Mission Inn

On Monday afternoon I got to go to the Mission Inn for lunch! While I've been by the Mission Inn recently, I had not eaten there for several years so I was excited. We parked the car and walked towards the Inn... While seated at the table, I pulled out my phone and took a couple quick snaps. If you are wondering where we ate, we chose the Mission Inn Restaurant . Yes, that's what it's called! This is for Dave...a Monte Cristo! After our meal, we decided to walk around and explore a bit. We went into the bar area and when I looked up, I saw this cool glass rotunda. Nice door! Then I went in search of President Taft's chair. When he visited, a special chair was made just for him...because of his rather large size! It looks like an ordinary chair until you sit in it. It even made me look small!! Next, we got on the elevator and rode up to the top floor and worked our way down and around. This place is magnificent. I love the stained glass wi...
