DCA and Disneyland Goodies

Image
Well glory be...Woohoo! First time in the new parking structure! In the Esplanade, this vehicle was on display. It's pretty cool but I would have chosen a different vehicle. Maybe it's just me but a mini van doesn't seem like the right fit. They wanted to be sure everyone knew that DCA would be closing early... Not sure what's getting updated here... I popped into Elias & Co. to see if there was anything new..... Ooooh a Hocus Pocus Dooney! I got such a kick out of the way Pluto was signing autographis! I told Pluto that I was a cat lady but he was OK with it because my purse had Disney cats on it. A few of these cool screen fences lined the walkway next to the Wilderness Creek Challenge Trail. It was open but I decided that I really wanted to see it at night so I opted to wait until I attend the Oggie Boogie Bash on October 3rd. By this time I was hungry and I wanted to see what was being offered at Rancho del Zocalo so I m...

Halloween Arrives at Disneyland Part Two

Image
Back again - I never tire of this place - This time to take a good look at some of those wonderful details that so many never notice. I returned to the Park on Friday, September 26th just a few minutes after opening. The window displays at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream shop always make me smile and this time was no exception. Look at this pumpkin carved with an exact replica of the logo! I heard singing behind me and turned around to see the Dapper Dans. I walked up and down Main Street for a while and then started taking pictures again. Let's get back to those windows at the Gibson Girl, shall we? I zoomed in on this assortment of vintage decorations. Aren't they cool? The table is set for Halloween sundaes and other goodies. I love the hat! I stepped into the Fortuosity Shop looking for new merchandise. I found something interesting! I realize that since these pants are on a hanger, the design is upside down but you can still see that...

The Snow White Cafe

Image
You say you've never heard of it? Is it in Disneyland? The Magic Kingdom? Nope! Believe it or not you won't find this cafe in any Disney park. So where is it? HOLLYWOOD! My son and I were on our way to the El Capitan to see Maleficent when I spotted the cafe. Since I was driving, I tossed my phone to my son and told him to take pictures, LOL. I have no idea if the food is any good but the next time I am in Hollywood, I just might try it.

Disneyland Exploration

OK, let's continue walking through Disneyland, shall we? We all know that there is GREAT themeing in the Park but do you realize the extent of it? For example, if you were in New Orleans waaaay back in the day, you would see large sailing ships in the harbor. You might even see the tops of those sails if you were a few blocks away. And look at this! Standing in front of Pirates, if you look up, you see this! Kinda makes you feel like you've gone back in time, doesn't it? Have you ever wondered where Frontierland ends and New Orleans Square begins? I found the exact spot! Carefully examine the photo below. Frontierland fencing to the left and New Orleans Square to the right. This shirt is so cute. I love Nerd Mickey. I have it on good authority that he watches The Big Bang Theory. This is a very nice Snow White tee. Love this purse!! This one too! Nice coordinating accessories, right? These aren't new but they are so nice. REAL plates f...
