More Crystal Cove

Here's what you've been waiting for...feast your eyes on this! I couldn't see what this couple was looking at... ...whatever it was, it sure held their attention! For those of you unfamiliar with this park, there are several walking/biking paths with little lookout points. I found this guy relaxing and enjoying the view. One more... Sadly, I have to tell you that new posts will be sporadic at best for the next few weeks. I will remedy the situation as soon as I can. In the meantime, you can follow my short bursts on Twitter and then you'll know immediately when a new post is up.

A visit with Mother Nature

It's been a while since I've done a "nature series" so here are a few pics I took while walking at Crystal Cove State Park. I never get tired of going there. Before we reach the water, there's lots to see. Like these fuzzy flowers. Say hello to this sunny single daisy. Well, I assume she's single. Nasturtiums are edible, ya know. (I'm channeling my inner Ewell Gibbons) Look! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Super Bunny! Shortly after seeing the aforementioned bunny, I saw a baby rattlesnake. Where's the picture? Oh hell no, I ran in the opposite direction from that snake! These pods are just plain weird. Maybe they are aliens?

A "lazy" Saturday morning

A fellow blogger did a Jedi mind trick when he blogged about donuts . I had been resisting the urge to get some but finally compromised:  If I went for a nice walk on the beach and hiked some of the trails, I could then go get some donuts, right? I borrowed my roommate's parking pass and took off towards the coast so follow me as I explore a different area of Crystal Cove State Park. So far this is easy....a nice flat surface. Here's the beach access trail... Let's get educated, folks. We continue on a nice, slight downhill walk. (The key word here is downhill .) More stuff to read. Oh my gosh, no matter how many times I see this view, it always takes my breath away. A little info before we hit the sand trail down to the water. I feel like I'm 12 again, LOL! Can you believe this? I don't realize how lucky I am to be living in Southern California until I walk at the beach. Some pelicans fly overhead. I thought this plant was a very inte...
