Life is a Journey

I had not been to the Parks for approximately two months. TWO LONG MONTHS. I popped in right at opening and headed straight to DCA. First I lined up for Soarin'. It was a 30 minute wait but it went by quickly. I think I may have waited 20 minutes. Let me say that I loved the new film. I am afraid of heights so the transitions startled me a bit and I think I bent the metal rods that I was gripping for dear life but I would definitely ride it again! The next thing I did was to ride Radiator Springs Racers. There was NO ONE in the single rider line so I walked right up! As I was walking along the exit queue, I liked the way the water tower looked so I stopped to snap. Next, I headed on over to Luigi's! There was so much to see inside the show building that I decided to simply enjoy the environment. But you know me, I had to take a couple of photos. We continue Tuesday's visit with dessert at DCA. But first, I grab the latest paper on Buena Vista Street! Mind you, I was too lazy to take my camera out of my purse so the rest of these are taken with my iPhone. I had decided that I really like the pies at Flo's V8 Diner so that's where I headed for some gooey goodness. While eating, I glanced up and fell in love with this uber cool light fixture. 20 minutes later, feeling like a stuffed sausage, I waddled out of Flo's and into Ramon's shop to see if my purse was still there. Nope! They were sold out. I threw myself on the floor and cried. OK, so I didn't really, but I wanted to. They did, however, have a new purse which is really quite cute BUT...it's $85.95!!! Ouch! As I headed out of Radiator Spring, I noticed that there were people inside of the Mechanical Clinic? WHAT??? So ya, apparently I'm the only one that didn't know there was overflow seating for Flo's inside ...

HUH? No, you are not seeing things. I am late in posting my pics from Disneyland's birthday. But you don't really mind, right?  OK, let's get started.... First, I am sharing a major cinematic achievement. Oh wait, no, that's not it. I am sharing 3 (count 'em) three videos I took while attempting to drive one of the Autopia cars left handed. I had planned to splice these together because they were taken on one loop of the attraction but I figured that would be a really long video. Too long to watch all at once? Children cover your ears if you are easily offended by possible profanity! And now, let's meander over to DCA! Naturally, I posed with the new statue of Mickey and Walt! Next, we walked over to Cars Land. I tell you, I can't get enough of that place. I love the random art that you find everywhere. The wait was too long for the flying tires but I like that they have one out front for photos! Doesn't this lo...

I know, I know, we've been looking at pictures from the Disney exhibit but you know what? I have this overpowering NEED to share the rest of my first visit pics to Cars Land! So I will switch back and forth each day until we've covered everything. And to make matters "worse", I have more pics of Disneyland and Cars Land that I took last week AND yesterday! I guess I really shouldn't complain, huh? LOL... I just had a marvelous idea...since these pictures were taken, I've gone back and actually eaten at Flo's so the following pics are from that second visit. So as I enter and stand in line, I look around and notice some incredible details...this is just a decorative touch but it would have made a kick ass soda station, right?
