Another Visit To The Parks

Image
I had to go back to the Parks because I had missed a few things and...well...I just love it there, LOL. This little guy by Mater's Jam-BOO-ree is adorable! I tried several times to get a decent shot of the window displays in Ramon's but the lighting was never quite right. This one reminded me of Sugar Skull art and I'm willing to bet there is a hidden Mickey somewhere in there! I completely missed this little guy the last time I was there. It wasn't dark enough to see but the trees are full of purple lights. It looks great! Believe it or not, I did not notice the bats flying out of the tower on my last visit. Let it be known that I would make a terrible eye witness! This is such a cute idea! Now we are at Disneyland and I am sitting on the upper level of the Hungry Bear restaurant. I noticed the cranes and just sat there, staring. I wondered to myself if it was "good show" that the tops of the bu...

DCA for Dessert!

Image
We continue Tuesday's visit with dessert at DCA. But first, I grab the latest paper on Buena Vista Street! Mind you, I was too lazy to take my camera out of my purse so the rest of these are taken with my iPhone. I had decided that I really like the pies at Flo's V8 Diner so that's where I headed for some gooey goodness. While eating, I glanced up and fell in love with this uber cool light fixture. 20 minutes later, feeling like a stuffed sausage, I waddled out of Flo's and into Ramon's shop to see if my purse was still there. Nope! They were sold out. I threw myself on the floor and cried. OK, so I didn't really, but I wanted to. They did, however, have a new purse which is really quite cute BUT...it's $85.95!!! Ouch! As I headed out of Radiator Spring, I noticed that there were people inside of the Mechanical Clinic? WHAT??? So ya, apparently I'm the only one that didn't know there was overflow seating for Flo's inside ...

Buena Vista Street - Still Walking Around

Image
There is no way for me to convey to you just how impressive the new DCA is! Again, I apologize that some of my photos are blurry - blame that on my excitement and old camera! Feast your eyes on this gleaming metal Art Deco popcorn cart. AMAZING! Photos do not do justice to this fountain. You have to see it with your own eyes.   As of this writing, I still have not been on the Red Car Trolley but I know it's going to be an amazing treat. As you can see, I walked around the trolley, admiring its beauty and details. These amazing newspapers are free and I found out that this week there is a new edition! I wonder how long they will continue to put these out? Isn't this gorgeous? The feeling of Buena Vista Street is electric, no pun intended! Look at this - I caught some ghosts, LOL!! I wanted to show you the new wait times board but wouldn't you know it, someone walked into my shot. I waited and waited about10 minutes and fi...

Carthay Circle Part 2

Image
While checking out every conceivable angle of the Carthay Circle, I happened to glance over the construction walls towards Buena Vista Street and saw a few more details that I either didn't notice on my last visit, or simply weren't there before. It's all beginning to look so REAL! Look! I love it when I can catch someone doing work! I know there are water fountain geeks out there...right? Facing the Carthay Circle, I've walked over to the left side of the building... I love this entry way. Here's a closer look at the ironwork. Nice tile work on those stairs, right? Now I am on the right side of the building. The corridors are gorgeous. So gorgeous, that I'm going to walk down to the other end... At the end of the corridor, looking out towards Taste Pilot's Grill. Now, still in the same spot but looking towards Buena Vista Street. Turning to my right, I see more stairs... ...and an iro...
