Up Periscope!

For those of you that have not heard about it, Periscope is a cool app that lets you stream live video to your Twitter followers. Since Mallory and I both tweet for The Disneyland Gazette, we have experimented with it at the Parks - sometimes it works great and other times, not so much. On May 5th, Mallory and I met at DCA for a quick dinner and drink at the Cove Bar. While we were waiting, we decided to try Periscope. Thanks to Mallory, I have a few photos to share with you. This is the menu showing the drinks we ordered. Great view of the setting sun. Here you see Mallory's pizza. Here are my Tri-Tip Sliders. Very yummy! One last view of the lagoon before we head over to Disneyland. Remember that I said Periscope works sometimes and others not so much? Well, we tried using Periscope while walking over to Disneyland and while no one complained about the video quality, when we reviewed it, we found that it was fuzzy. That bothered me quit...

Carlsbad, San Diego and La Jolla

In March 2009, my friends and I had a neat weekend exploring Carlsbad, San Diego and La Jolla. Our first stop was at the flower fields in Carlsbad. Who knew there were so many varieties of poinsettias??? Next, we got lost in the Sweet Pea flower maze. It was fun! If you are ever in Southern California during March, you really should stop and check out the flower fields! Here's a link to their site. After spending about 2 and a half hours walking through the flower fields, we drove into San Diego and spent some time relaxing at the Hotel Coronado. I first "discovered" The Dell when I was 20 and I fell in love instantly. My buddy, Dave, has some great shots of the hotel on his site. Click here . Then it was time for dinner but we also wanted a Margarita so we found a place in Old Town and placed our drink order. Holy smokes, those Margaritas were EMMENSE!! But more importantly, they were GOOD. Y'all know what I'm talking about! ...
