Yes, you've been waiting a long, long time for this but opening day is FINALLY here!  Well, tomorrow it will open. I know sooooo many people that are chomping at the bit for this. (Although why they are wearing a bit is confusing to me...) Click on the pics for a larger view.   It's going to be so darn nice to sit out here in the evening with a Trenta Very Berry Refresher!   That's it for now, folks.

Marmalade, Monrovia and DCA

Marmalade, Monrovia and DCA...what could those three things possibly have in common. Nothing really, except that we did them all in one day. I shall explain, Grasshopper. First of all, I few weeks ago, I watched an old episode of California's Gold and learned about a family run operation that makes marmalades, jams and jellies. It is called E. Waldo War & Son and their claim to fame is that they've made these delectable delights for over a century and they offered tours so you could see how it was done. It sounded interesting to me so I looked them up online and then convinced my roommate that we needed to check it out, LOL. I put their info into my GPS and off we went. When we arrived, we were a bit confused since we ended up in a residential area and could find no sign in sight indicating that we were at the right place. NEWS FLASH! Check out this link for a video of Walt's apartment! Woohoo! OK...Some of you have requested additional photos and details (Flattery will get you everywhere, LOL!) so here we go... We briefly explored this restaurant that reminded me of the Rainforest Cafe only much cooler. Here are just a few pics... Isn't this place amazing??? We continued walking around Downtown Disney and I just had to get my picture taken next to a Christmas tree. Next, we drove over to Wilderness Lodge to check out the decorations. I was impressed with how festive the lobby looked.   We ended the evening by going to the Polynesian and sitting on the beach to wait for the fireworks. It was sooooo flippin' cold that we grabbed pool towels and used them on our shoulders and legs to he...

When people know you love Disney, cool things happen!

I got the following email from a colleague. Hi: On my way to the airport in Orlando and stopped at Downtown Disney to get a few things. Saw this and thought of you. I was attending a conference at the Yacht Club resort yesterday and this morning. We got to go to a private party last night at Animal Kingdom, after the park closed. Only about 200 people so it was not at all crowded. No waiting for the rides that were open, I rode Expedition Everest roller coaster 4 times. Is that cool or what????
