Life is a Journey

The last time I cruised with Disney Cruise Lines was in 2003 and I have to say, I MISSED IT! No other cruise line that I have cruised with has matched the quality of service and comfort of the staterooms. A little over a year ago, I received a text from my friend Myrna of Magic of Mickey Travel telling me the most basic but important information: "Disney weekend cruise to nowhere. Will book fast!" I looked up at my friend and coworker, Jen, and said, "Do you want to go on a weekend Disney cruise?" I think it took her all of ten seconds to reply, "YES!" I quickly replied to Myrna and told her to book a cabin. To be quite honest, at that time I didn't know if I would be able to come up with the down payment, let alone afford the cruise. But I did it on blind faith knowing that I would do everything humanly (and legally) possible to go on that cruise. Long time no see!!! I know I haven't been around for a while and I apologize for that. Things have been hectic in my world but I finally found some time to go to the Parks. On November 1st, I spent the day at DCA so I'll share those pics with you now. OK, pop quiz - Where are these next two items located? I don't know if they are new but I noticed them for the first time so naturally I had to take a picture of them. (Answer: They are located right at the entrance to the bathrooms next to Off The Page however, as you approach the bathrooms, they are behind you. Maybe that's why I never noticed them before!) Doing some window shopping in Off The Page, I came across some magnificent Maleficent items. I especially dig this one since it's made entirely of PAPER! Inside the Beast's library... As you can see, Bugs Land is ready for Christmas! The view just caught my eye... Now it's time for a Sangria break! Over in Par...

Holy smokes, give me a break! I know that some of you like to shop early but I think this is crazy!  It's not even Halloween and Christmas merchandise has invaded the Parks! There is an assortment of sweaters, sweatshirts, pajamas and a T-shirt or two and this was just a sampling of what was found on Main Street. *shaking my head*

My favorite place on Earth turns 57 today.  Yay!! OK, we are continuing our tour of the D23 Disney exhibit, right? Right!  I thought this Mickey was adorable ...and then... ...and then I realized that it was the Mickey in this famous photo of Walt!! Of course, no Disney exhibit would be complete without Walt's office. This was the first time that I could take my time and examine every detail... The books in his office interested me greatly. Walt got the first employee badge and rightly so! My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw this Mary Poppins costume! This is for you sub buffs! Would you believe I've never seen Flubber? Either one! Now this made me smile...costumes from Babes in Toyland. What will we see next time????
