Mickey's Halloween Party 2014

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I did it! I went to Mickey's Halloween Party! I had an easy costume. The difficult part was getting into character. The Mad Scientist. We're ready for some fun! It was Lisa's first visit during the Halloween season. May I introduce you to Jeff and Lisa, LOL. Let me tell you, they got so much attention that night, even posing for pictures with several guests. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the castmembers had awesome themed costumes! Getting our wristbands. Here's a closer look. Next, we checked in for a tour we had reserved. Disneyland offered the Happy Haunts Tour on certain evenings. There is a separate charge for that and it has to be reserved ahead of time so keep that in mind. I'll blog about that experience later. We had a blast Trick or Treating and getting LOTS of goodies. There was even a special treat for Annual Passholders which I can...

Believe it or not, we are done with Mickey's Halloween Party!!! Well, once you finish reading this post, we're done. After the fireworks, I walked over to Frontierland to see if the Mark Twain was running. It wasn't but they had a pretty cool pirate set-up at the landing dock. I decided to check out the Rivers of America....doesn't it look great? I think this is my favorite shot of the night! I'd had a pretty good evening, even though I was by myself. It had been a long day however, so it was now time to go home. As I made my way up Main Street, I noticed this: When I saw the train station, I stopped dead in my tracks. This was COOL!! If you were wondering, I did some orange and black Halloween eye makeup since I didn't wear a costume. Thanks for sticking with me on all of these posts. I guess it's a good thing I got so many posts out of this visit because the next day, I got really sick and couldn't go anywhere. I even refrained from...

Mickey's Halloween Party Part 9

I started to make my way towards the Hub and noticed how cool the castle was looking. After passing by Snow White's Grotto, I stopped to admire the graphics being screened on the front of the castle. The castle looked really cool, changing colors and graphics all night. I loved the music that was playing, too. You can get a quick glimpse in the video below. I found a spot for watching the parade, unfortunately, there were giant lights right in front of me so even though I was able to take some video, those darn lights ruined my shots. However, all is not lost. As I was leaving for the night, the parade began it's second run and I had a wide open spot so what you are seeing below is being posted out of sequence but I really don't think you'll mind, right? And if you do, change the channel, LOL! Here is a shot of the crowd... After the parade, I quickly moved towards the castle to secure a viewing spot for the fireworks. Luckily, I only had to wait 30 mi...

Who knew I'd get so many posts out of this one visit? CANDY!! Yes it was time to start Trick or Treating. After a short wait in line - it was 7PM but apparently there were still many regular guests in the Park - they finally started handing out candy. The line began next to the Autopia and then continued up the ramp towards the Monorail where they had an additional FOUR candy stops! I just love the view from up here. Candy stop #2... Candy stop #3... Looking over candy stop #4 with anticipation, LOL! After all that excitement, I walked towards Fantasyland... In line once again, LOL...here's a shot of my candy bag. The line snaked back and forth (just like an attraction!) but it moved quickly. Looks spooky, doesn't it? Next, I headed over towards Small World to find some candy...but I paused to admire some neat effects. You could line up to have your photo taken with the Princesses but I didn't feel like it. Another long line - BUT it moved qu...

Wow, we've been doing this for a week. Maybe I should make the posts longer...... Where were we? Oh ya....I finished eating my scrumptious caramel apple with peanuts and got out of my car to return to the park. I was parked at the top of the structure (Minnie) and couldn't help but notice the gorgeous night (dusk?) sky. So of course, I had to take a picture. Or two.... Or three... Once again, I had to go through security.  But this time, they had some new signs out! Minutes before this photo was taken it has been lightly sprinkling a fine mist-like rain! After going through the turnstile, I noticed the cool shirts the castmembers were wearing! Now I'm in! But wait....I had to get in line... Yes, everyone entering the Park needed a wristband to prove that you were supposed to be in the Park for the Halloween Party. You see, although the Park closed at 7PM for regular guests, those attending the Halloween Party were allowed to enter the Park at 4PM. The Ghost...
