Life is a Journey

On Friday, July 12, 2019, I met up with some friends that were staying at the Grand Californian. I parked at the Mickey and Friends parking structure as I always do and noticed that the structure is indeed connected to the new Pixar Pals parking structure. Something is going on in Mickey and Friends but I'm not quite sure what. Work continues in front of the two parking structures with the addition of several trees. We met up and decided to go out for breakfast and then went to Old Town Orange to peruse the antique shops. I found a unique outfit... ...and something that would make a nice addition to someone's living room. Not mine, but someone else... The weather was getting quite ugly so we went back to the Grand Californian and took advantage of the great air conditioning the the hotel lobby. Once we had cooled down we decided to order some food right there and enjoy the pianist playing Disney classics while we ate. And then.... It was time to c...

UPDATE:  Well, sort of... Art, if you are reading this, by all means save a copy of your photo! Sorry folks, I needed to address a comment I got and had no other way to reply to the gentleman! Now let's get on with our story. No, that wasn't a typo... I went to Disneyland for Dapper Day but it was so darn wet (not that I'm complaining) and I felt bad for everyone who had gotten dressed up to go to the Park. I took a couple of pictures but was so paranoid about getting my camera wet that I gave up and just enjoyed the Park! I pulled out my phone to take a photo, not realizing I had it set on video so here you see 2 seconds of a very wet Main Street! Let's walk together, shall we? Yes, I went back for more Disney Christmas cheer! Get comfortable folks, this is going to be a long post! I'll share all of my pics with you today and then post videos tomorrow. You're welcome! The shooting gallery looks mighty festive, doesn't it? The Haunted Mansion was experiencing a few problems so while I waited, I attempted to take a pictures...I am quite surprised at how well the iPhone 5 does! I got to the Park or should I say, the area near the Park at 9:30 and the parking structure was already full! I got sent over to the Simba parkinig lot and by the time I actually walked through the gate at Disneyland, it was 10:40! Sheesh! My friends and I had a lunch reservation at Cafe Orleans for 12:50 wo we checked in a few minutes early and sat down to admire the decorations... After lunch which consisted of the Monte Cristo, we waddled over to Big Thunder Ranch. I had so much fun checking everything out that I didn't take many photos. Oops...
